Özet (EN)
In Istanbul BRT System, that constitute a good alternative to other public transportation modes in terms of capacity, speed and performance; the need for increased capacity has caused the need to develop various optimizations. In the city of Istanbul, approximately 800 thousand passengers are transported in BRT system per day. In this system, the return of benefit increases in terms of number of passengers and operating costs asymmetrically as the improvements takes place. In this study, scenarios are proposed for the development of BRT operating plan. In order to measure both the present condition and the performance gains as a result of improvements in the system, Visum simulation program, that has the ability to create macro simulations is used. Volume capacity ratios are calculated by taking the outcomes of scenarios and it has been revealed that the recommended scenario offers more successful results for BRT system to work with the highest benefit.
