Abstract (EN)
Every geography has a unique reciting style for the Mawlid al- Sharif. But the most important one that influences these different styles is the one of Istanbul. When it comes to the Istanbul style, it actually means the tune of the recitation. This study includes: The history of the Mevlîd al-Sharîf as a represention of a civilization and interviews with people (Mawlid Reciters) who have the unique mawlid reciting style of Istanbul. It is an ancient tradition to mention their names or give information about their lives during their lifetime. In addition, in our interviews with these people, we have compiled the paths and memories of our civilization of Istanbul. In the last part of our thesis, we gave the notations of the samples melodies we chose from the Istanbul Style Mawlid Recitation by naming them "Beylik Nağme" (commonplace melodies). This chapter study, which is conducted for the first time in this field, is of a guiding nature for researchers who will later conduct research on this subject.
