Prof. Dr. Ergül YA ARAssist Prof. Dr. Mustafa AKYILDIZIn this study, the production method in Montan chromite mine around Mevlütler -Acıpayam-Denizli has been investigated. The mine has been working, its presentproduction method was studied and, mining parameters were determined for increasing theproduction. Data monitared during the production from Montan mine have been evaluated.Geology of the mine, ore reserve and grade have been explained.Although the mine has high reserve potential, ore exploration for ore reservedetermination has not been made. Thus, determined definite reserve estimation has beenlimited, this influences negatively increase of production. For optimisation of mining worksand enhancing the production, the base longwall for 600 m long, the mining well at 200 mhigh and searching gallery for 500 m long must be made. The mining methods of MontanMine has been completely investigated and mine mechanisation possibilities have beenstudied at all production levels.Any change applied production method in mine has not been recommendedHowever, by increasing transporting system, construction of the mining well, with increasingmine workers, the ore production from 1500 ton /month to 2500 ton / month could easily beincreased.Keywords: Chromite, Production method, Acıpayam-Denizli, chromitemanagement, Underground chromite production.II
