The usuage of midyat stone as a covering and building material researching

In this study, samples were received from natural stone mines of Midyat Barıştepe land to determine the usage of Midyat stone as a covering and building material. At first, taken samples were prepared as Standard appropriate at stone cutting-processing factory and Faculty of Engineering-Architecturing Mining Engineering laboratuary of Çukurova University. In the next step, physico-mechanical and chemical characteristics of standardized samples were determined. In the last step, use of Spss Software was evaluated between relationship in statistical analyse of physico-mechanical characteristics. After the analysing Midyat Stone is approved to be used as a building material for Standard appropriate.Key Worlds: Midyat Stone, Marble, Physico-Mechanical Characteristics
