Özet (EN)

In this study, ferrocene benzimidazoles, which are an important area of use in the fields of Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, were synthesized by prioritizing their biological activities. Ferrocene benzimidazoles were synthesized using microwave irradiation and classical ferrocene carboxy aldehyde, o-phenylenediamine, 4-Chloro-o-phenylenediamine and 4-Bromo-o-phenylenediamine. The microwave method, one of the widely used synthesis methods, has been proven to provide the opportunity to synthesize in a shorter time and with high efficiency compared to both green chemistry and classical methods. The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and melting point. Different concentrations of the compounds were prepared for DNA cleavage studies and examined in the gel imaging system.
