The transcription and evaluation of Gad Franko of Milas's work titled "Discourses on Wisdom and Education for Teachers"

Gad Franko from Milas, inspired by his teaching experiences, wrote the work titled "Teachers on Wisdom and Discipline". In his work, he focused on how teachers should approach students and parents should approach children. It also touches upon basic issues such as "what and how" students and children should learn in accordance with their age. The book also addresses important issues such as the physical conditions and curriculum of an ideal school. The work begins by clarifying the reason for writing the book, with the "İfade-i Mahsusa" section. It lists its contents with the "Medhal" section and includes explanations with the "Tarifat" section. The work consists of three parts in terms of content. The first part of the work provides general information about human health under the title "Terbiye-i Bedeniyye". The second part deals with various topics under the title of "Terbiye-i Fikriyye" by discussing how to educate the child's world of thought. In this section, there are the titles of training the feeling, training of the memory, power of imaginary power, power of completeness and power of isolation, power of judgment, power of comparison and power of distinction. In the third chapter, moral education is focused on under the title of "Terbiye-i Ahlakiyye". In this section, subjects such as temperament and character education, moral sensitivities, social tendencies, higher tendencies, voluntary upbringing, habit and obedience are discussed at length.
