The evaluation of the distance in-service training given the computer training practices of the Ministery of Education

This search has been made to provide that the teachers evaluate the distance in-service training given the computer training practices of the Ministry of Education, and to make suggestions for similar studies that the Ministry will make later. In this research, there are teachers opinions about the distance of Education and literature review about in-service training, distance learning, computer training and distance in service training.In the research, scaning method has been used. Research questionnaires were applied to the teachers of various branches who were chosen by random sampling method in general and private high schools in European part of İstanbul. Questionnaires were applied to 208 people. Each questionnaire form has two parts. In the first part there are questions which contain personal informations about teachers, in the second part there are dependent questions. In the questionnaire form there are 27 questions. When the distance in-service training given during the computer training practices of the Ministry of Education was being evaluated, the teachers have been compared in terms of these variables: gender, branch, age, occupational seniority, to feel the need of using technology.This study has five parts. The first part is introduction, the second part is theoretical information and literature review, the third part is findings, the fourth part is data and the fifth part is results, discussions and suggestions. Results which were found as meaningful at p<0,05 level in the statistical analysis of the data which were found, were shown with tables and evaluated. Groups which don?t show a meaningful difference were left out of the research.As the result of this research, it has been seen that the teachers who are related to the evaluation of the distance in service training given during the computer training practices of the Ministry of Education were not given much information about this study, did not join the study willingly, and most of them do not have computers, and they have problems about connecting to internet and because of such reasons, it has been seen that the teachers usually answered the questions as ?indecisive?. Therefore, in order to reach the aimed goals of education, it is needed to solve the problems mentioned above.Key words; in-service training, distance learning, computer training, distance in service training.
