Teaching history in the councils of ministry of education

The main objective if this research is to give information about the Educative Councils that have been held by Ministry of Education and understanding goals, assignments and the way they have been organized . A meticulous study on these meetings was made going through all the councils from the first to the seventeenth and adequate information was acquired to have idea about the articles which had been discussed , how they have been applied by the governments, the way the resolutions and decisions made by the council came into effect and how the history awareness can be created among the people in today?s globalized world.İn this documental study the the resolutions about Teaching History are scrutinized. It can be said that the 2nd National Educative Council was the one in which the issue was discussed and studied in a way that the importance of the subject was emphasized properly. Besides, the issue was touched upon in the 4th 5th 9th 12th 17th meetings held by the same council. Unfortunately, in the next meetings the subject was ignored and wasn?t taken into consideration sufficiently in the Council?s agenda.All in all, National Educational Councils are of Advisory Committee quality. The resolutions can come into effect after the official statement made by the government. Each council sheds light on the day's cultural and educational perspective. Through the passage to the democratic system council resolutions turned out to be difficult to be applied. In the context of these complications Teaching History must take its place among the most important issues in the the agenda of politics of education .
