This study is named "Religious Language in National Cinema: The Case of Yücel Cakmakli Filmography". The first example of national cinema in Turkey emerged in 1970 in order to reflect national and moral values in cinema. Yücel Cakmakli is the pioneer of the first example of the National Cinema movement. Cakmakli, who has been working on cinema since his youth as a writer and assistant, has moved to direct films by his film "Birleşen Yollar / The Roads that Unite". Cakmakli has produced many films and TV series throughout his life. Cakmakli tried to reveal the structure of thought in his works and aimed to treat the cinema as a medium. Cakmakli's cinema films, all of which are under the name of National Cinema, are in our research area. Our work consists of three chapters and an introduction and conclusion. In Introduction, the importance of cinema and contemporary developments in Turkey have been presented. In the first chapter, Cakmakli's life, thought structure and works are given broadly. In the second chapter, National Cinema debates and other works of National Cinema representatives are mentioned. In the third and final chapter, a reading was attempted within the framework of religious language through Cakmakli's motion picture films. In conclusion, the data and findings are summarized.
