Abstract (EN)

Between 1954 and 1968, the periodical Toprak Journal is one of the stable and demanding periodicals in the context of nationalist journal. The journal has become synonymous with its owner İlhan Darendelioğlu. The journal was published fort he first time in 1947, yet a high school student, Darendelioğlu, grown and matured with Toprak. Toprak Journal, which was published monthly, continued its broadcasting life with its high sales rates. The journal, which has an anti-Communist structure, has a wicked style that has waged war against any left person and movement in the country. Not only the leftists, but everyone outside the nationalist view, is an enemy for the Toprak. It is for this reason that the Toprak has been accused even of extreme right at some time. In the study, the period between 1954 and 1961, which is counted as 2nd period of the Toprak Journal, is discussed. Before the 1960 Coup, the magazine even advocated with the DP government would change its mind after 1960. An unchanging element of the journal is its opposition to RPP and Inönü because of its practices in single-party period. In the period between 1954 and 1961, the main topics covered in the journal were Nationalism and Communism. For the Toprak Journal, we can say that the country has assumed the McCartian movement. They have adopted the policy of exposing the left and the communist to the long term or even the pictures of the people and their works. Another issue that is handled in the journal as the basis of Anti Communism is religion. In the journal, he gathered ideas, politicians, writers, poets and students from all colors of nationalism under the same roof. Toprak Journal, on behalf of nationalism not only the problems within the borders of Turkey Exterior, Turkey has also been dealt often made even home to writers from Central Asia. The journal evaluated not only the theoretical knowledge but also the daily events within a nationalist and anti-communist framework. In addition, many other topics are discussed in Toprak Journal. The study was designed to analyze the entire content of Toprak Journal and to evaluate its impact on Turkish Political Thought life and its contribution.
