The revolotion and contemporary manipulation of the integrity notion in the chronological development of architecture

Honesty is one of the concepts that exist in the time, place, method and purpose that have passed since the existence of the art of construction, in the transformation of materials found in nature into building materials, whether the material has its own qualitative and quantitative characteristics, and whether it is suitable for the purpose in this direction. The substance that exists in the natural environment has been transformed into building material in accordance with its own substance. Building material, on the other hand, created an architectural product by bringing together an idea, purpose and post-construction. As a result of the repetition and use of this situation over a wide period of time, it has found a place in the social memory first as an image and then as a concept. Therefore, there have been structural forms that evoke these spaces and bring them to mind. It has been transmitted from generation to generation as a permanent inheritance. This situation has taken the suitability of the building type to its own connotation, that is, evoking its own spatial definition, as a goal and has turned into an honesty criterion as it is accepted. On the contrary, its suitability for its own age has been accepted as a separate criterion of belonging and honesty. In this respect, the research subject of honesty is that an architectural object should be like itself in terms of the use of the materials that make up it as a building material, as well as its social connotation and being an image, to be suitable for its purpose of existence, to be suitable for its age, and to be suitable for the act of architecture. In the thesis, the importance of this subject in terms of architects, their works and architectural theories has been investigated. A chronological order was followed. In the findings and inference part of the thesis, the concept of honesty in architecture has been evaluated through the examples examined. In the last part, spatial experiences created by manipulating this concept through visual culture are included.
