Özet (EN)

This study investigated the impact of individuals' sustainable consumption behaviors on their minimalist consumption behaviors. The study population consisted of individuals aged 18 and over living in the city center of Ağrı. A non-random sampling method, specifically convenience sampling, was used, and data was collected from a total of 525 participants via questionnaire. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency distribution, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. SPSS 22.0 statistical software package was used for the analyses. The factor analysis revealed that the consumer minimalism scale had a 3-factor structure and the sustainable consumption scale had a 4-factor structure, indicating high reliability. The overall mean consumer minimalism score was 3.88, and the overall mean sustainable consumption behavior score was 3.39. The regression analysis results showed that the environmental awareness, saving, and reusability dimensions of sustainable consumption behavior had a significant and positive effect on minimalist consumption behavior, while the unnecessary purchase dimension had a significant and negative effect.
