Abstract (EN)
The tragedy of Karbala, which resulted in the martyrdom of Hz. Hussein in 61 AH, greatly affected Muslim societies. This effect was more evident in the fields of art and literature. There are many works written about the tragedy of Karbala. One of these is the work we transcribed. Mir Abdulfettah Maraghi, who lived in Iran in the 19th century, is one of the writers who wrote about Karbala. The subject of our thesis, Mir Abdulfettah Maraghi's work called Maktel-i Husayn, is located in the manuscripts section of the National Library of Iran. The work, registered on shelf number 844, is an important example of the maktel genre. The work consists of 75 pages. While the work was written in Azerbaijani Turkish until the 71st page, the last five pages were written in Persian. The work, which is written in sections, has a total of 18 sections. There is a title at the beginning of each section in the work. In addition, a different event is narrated in each of these sections. In this study, where we examine the manuscript of Mir Abdülfettah Meragi, which is located in the National Library of Iran, our aim is to examine the structure and content of the work, create a transcription text, work on a dictionary and create an index. In addition, for a better understanding of the work, we added sections on the historical development of Azerbaijani literature, the historical development of the Karbala incident, works written about Karbala and summaries of sections in the text. Since there is only one copy of the work that is the subject of our study and this copy is in the National Library of Iran, we worked on the digital copy of the work in the transcription section. We also included this digital copy at the end of our study.
