Abstract (EN)
MIS-C (Covid-induced multiple inflammatory syndrome) can cause critical illness such as cardiogenic shock in up to 80% of patients, and the death rate is 2%. The pathophysiological mechanism of MIS-C is still unclear. If the pathophysiology is understood, an important step will be taken to prevent both deaths and disease. If the pathophysiology of this disease, which is monitored in intensive care and has a mortality of 2%, can be solved, we can control this disease better, reduce the need for intensive care and reduce treatment costs and prevent complications that may develop due to the disease. This work will be the first. It is planned to perform the amplification of the HLA allele and the sequencing of the whole exon from 40 patients diagnosed with MIS-C and their parents. Management: 120 samples (patient, mother, father) collected in Cengiz Gökçek Children's Hospital will be studied in Hacettepe Immunology Laboratory.
