Prof. Dr. Bilgehan GÜZELThe aim of this study is to investigate the structural and electronic propertiesof metallic thin films by XAFS (X-ray Absorption Fine Structure) spectroscopy.Some of different types of 3d metallic compounds are calculated with using theXAFS computer code FEFF 8.0 and compared with the experimental results.Calculations are based on multiple scattering process of photoelectrons. Electronicstructure investigations of the thin films of 3d metallic compounds are calculatedwith XANES method and structural investigations are calculated with EXAFSmethod of XAFS spectroscopy.
