Abstract (EN)
The global energy crisis that has emerged recently has made the use of renewable energy a great need for us as an alternative to fossil based fuels. Among the renewable energy sources, a high efficiency solar energy satisfies this need as a perfect and pioneering solution in the international market. Along with the Industrial Revolution, technology has developed faster than ever in the first decade of the 21st century. Fashion world needs to be helped to embrace the global technology as well. It is expected that wearable technology and smart clothes will become more widespread and change into an important part of our routines. It is supposed that the solar jacket collection designed in the current study will contribute to the increase of consumer's awareness on the issues related to the global energy crisis. Due to the recent developments in the mobile communication technology, the main purpose of this research is to present ten daily-used jacket designs to provide people with easier opportunities to use technological advances. Literally there was no research in this specific subject in Turkey, therefore the importance of this research becomes clear. This study was performed using a qualitative research method. The literature review was done in order to create a conceptual framework in the study and as a result, the design of jackets was added to the study. In addition, all data were analyzed and concluded.
