Özet (EN)

In Modern European thought, when we are talking about politicization and ideology of aesthetics, it must be assumed that we are on extremely rough grounds. Aesthetics, which dates back to the ancient world, most commonly regarded as a science of beauty, can be understood in various ways. Aesthetics as an ambiguous term developes various forms and different meanings in every context it is used. This study consists of three chapters. The fist chapter attempts to show the relations between and historical views of the concepts of aesthetics and art. The second chapter approaches the main topic of this work, the interconnectedness of aesthetics and politics in Modern European thought. It examines notions of aesthetics and politics in Modernity, the positions of politics and aesthetics in social contexts, and the relation between power and aesthetic. The third chapter focusses on the context originated by modern arts, aesthetics and politics. Here I tried to examine arguements on plastic art, music, culture, and literature in respect to aesthetics and politics. In addition I tried to extract some characteristiques of international exhibitions, and their relations with the concepts of nationalism, nation, fascism etc. The ?conclusion? part summarizes and outlines the results of this research?s initial question about the various ways in which aesthetics and politics interwine.
