Abstract (EN)
In this study, a total of (113) clinical isolates of Gram-negative primary bacteria, identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, were obtained from Al-Ramadi Teaching Hospital. From December 2020 to April 2021, the source of these isolates was as follows: (62) isolates from wound infections and (51) isolates from burn injuries. The isolates were first identified by culturing on MacConkey agar, blood agar, 50 isolates emerged as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and then identified by some biochemical testing (catalase and oxidase) followed by genetic diagnosis by PCR with the gene (Mex A and Mex B). done. Results confirmed the presence of P. aeruginosa bacteria in 39 cases. Antibiotic susceptibility was tested with the recommended Kirby Bauer Disk Diffusion method, the Instagram of studied isolates showed rhyostat resistance to sub-antibiotic study, susceptibility including ceftazidime (CAZ), azithromycin It was tested for 7 antimicrobial agents from different groups, including (AZM), levofloxacin (LEV), meropenem (MEM), gentamicin (GN), amikacin (AK), cefloxacin (CIP). All of the isolates in this investigation were resistant to all of the antibiotics utilized. Increasing bacterial resistance to many antibiotics is a major challenge in treatment.
