Özet (EN)
Radiation cure coatings cross-link by reactions initiated by radiation, rather than heat. Such coatings have the potential advantage of being indefinitely stable when stored in the absence of radiation; following application, cross-linking occurs rapidly at ambient temperature on exposure to radiation. Rapid cure at ambient temperature is particularly significant for heat sensitive substrates, including paper, some plastics, and wood. Two classes of polymerization reactions are used in UV curing: free radical and cation-initiated chain-growth polymerization. In such reactions, each photon absorbed can effect only one cross-linking reaction. In chain reactions, absorption of a single photon can lead to the formation of many cross-links. A key requirement for UV curing is a UV source that produces high intensity UV radiation at low cost without generating excessive infrared radiation. Major radiation sources in commercial use are medium pressure mercury vapor lamps.Because of their vital role in photopolymerization, photoinitiators are the subject of particularly extensive research. Reactive species such as free radicals can be generated by photolysis of an initiator, and thus promote the polymerization of monomers and oligomers. Photopolymerization is a well-accepted technology that finds industrial applications in coatings on various materials adhesives, printing inks, biological applications and photoresists and photoinitiators have been known as playing one of the most important roles in these systems. The low migration tendency of polymeric photoinitiators and photoproducts, increases the importance of the synthesis of polymeric photoinitiators.Benzoin derivatives have long been known to be efficient photoinitiators for the vinil monomers such as styrene. Benzoin and particularly its ethers are, for the most part, colourless solids which are sufficiently soluble in most formulations. They have spectra which are typical for unsubstituted benzoyl chromophores, absorbing strongly in the far UV (? = 300-400 nm, ? ? between 100-200 L.mol-1.cm-1). They have high quantum yields with respect to producing free radicals. Due to their very fast photochemical reaction, their initiating efficiency is relatively little influenced by interactions with components in the formulation. The development and applications of click chemistry in polymer and material science have recently been extensively reviewed Click reactions, which is going to be employed for synthesizing polymeric photoinitiotors starting from benzoin derivatives, have been extensively used in the synthesis of polymers in a very short time and with high efficiency. This method is applied to synthesize dendrimeric structures, biological polymers which is used for drug delivery systems and to obtain functionalized polymers. Microwave activation is going to use for the synthesis of benzoin based photoinitiators to increase the rate of reaction and to get higher yields.Last a few years, this methods are encountered to functionalized. Reactions occur in a vey short time with high yield. Benzoin derivatives which were synthesized but just used in pharmaceutical chemistry used as photoinitiators. Photoinitiators were characterized some spectrophotometric techniques (UV, FT-IR, 1HNMR, GC-MS etc). Photophysical properties of these initiators were determined by using of various methods like fluorescence emission spectrums, Stern-Volmer rate constants, phosphorescence emission spectrums and Photo-DSC. Although, photoinitiators which were benzoin based, to investigate the changing because of substitution effect on photoinitiation mechanism of these initiators are also going to investigate by additional laser flash photolysis technique and GC-MS. Photoinitiation efficiency of photoinitiators for polymerization of mono and multifunctional acrylates was investigated.
