Molla Abdullatif Şemami's life and his place in the science of morphology (Sarf)

Molla Abdullatif Şemami was born in Diyarbakır in 1924 and came to the forefront in the field of Arabic vocabulary (sarf) . His treatise entitled 'Serf'a Şemami" (Sarf of Şemami), which he wrote in this field, was examined and the anecdotes he transferred to his students were determined and the methods he used in teaching vocabulary were determined. Molla Abdullatif's birth, scientific personality, literary personality, teachers were also transferred. Molla Abdullatif Şemami's method of teaching vocabulary has gained fame in Diyarbakır and the surrounding regions, and in some madrasas these methods and techniques are still used in vocabulary (sarf) teaching. Mullah Abdullatif made the students memorize the book "Emsile" which includes verb conjugations and is still taught as a textbook in today's Islamic madrasas. Then, he aimed to bring the verbs especially sülasi mücerred, sülasi mezid, rubai mücerred and rubai mezid to the level that can conjugate. Subsequently, with the same order, he classified the verbs of muzaaf, misal, ecvef, nakis, lefif and mehmuz and he gave the students the conjugation of these verbs. Sarf of Şemami, which aims not to leave any single verb pattern that the students haven't seen, tried to explain the logic of vocabulary knowledge by applying the subjects of il'al, idğam, kalp on each verb during the conjugation, not in topics. We hope that this study, which we hope to contribute to the teaching of Arabic vocabulary knowledge in faculties of theology and literature, will contribute to the scientific world as well.
