Molla Muhammed Said Tahıki and his criticism on Shi'is and Wahhâbism

In this study, Nezâhet'ül- Ashâb Fi's-Sunnah Ve'l-Kitâb Âmmâ İfterâ Âleyhim Ehl'üz-Zeyği Ve'l-İrtiyâb, which includes the life of Seyda Molla Muhammed Said Tahıkî, a late Islamic scholar who was educated in oriental madrasas, and his criticism of the Imamiyye Şîa (Twelve Imamci Shiism) and his work titled El-Fütûhât'üs-Samediyye Fir'r-Reddi Âlâ Müğâletât'il-Vehhâbiyye which includes his criticism of Wahhabi was discussed. Our study consists of introduction and three parts. In the introduction, brief information about Molla Muhammed Said Tahıkî is given. In addition, information was given about the period he lived in, the scientific situation in the region, and the financial and moral difficulties they faced. In the first part, the life, works, scientific and mystical personality of Molla Muhammed Said Taqiki consisting of his students and teachers are discussed. In the second part, his work titles as Nezâhet'ül- Ashâb Fi's-Sünneti Ve'l-Kitâb Âmmâ İfterâ Âleyhim Ehl'üz-Zeyği Ve'l-İrtiyâb, which contains criticisms of the Imamiyye Şîa (Twelve İmamcı Shiism) and which is a refusal to the work of Muhammed Hüseyin Ali Kaşif'ul-Ğitâ named Aslü'ş-Şîa ve Usûlühâ was discussed and in this work, his criticisms of the subjects with mental and transmitted evidence were discussed such as the idea of imamat, which is defended by the Imamiyye Shia, the idea of Tayin with Nas and the possible relationship of this idea, as well as the fact that the hadith of Mawla signifies imamat. In the third part, his work tittles as El-Fütûhât'üs-Samediyye Fir'r-Reddi Âlâ Müğâletât'il-Vehhâbiyye, which includes the criticism of Wahhabism on issues such as visiting the grave of the Prophet, visiting Tabarruk and tawassul and which was written for the purpose of rejection of Muhammad b. Abdulvehhâb's work titled titled et-Tevhîd was examined and the opinions, statements and evidences in this work were verified, examined and evaluated.
