Abstract (EN)
Endotracheal cuff pressure is important for patients. Our goal is in this study to examine different body positions effects to endotracheal tube cuff pressure in morbid obesity patients.we have classified patient in two groups by body mass index of patients.BMİ>40 kg/m2 was group 1, BMİ<40 kg/m2 was group 2.We have practised standart general anesthesia protocol to all patients, and endotracheal cuff pressure was fixed up to 25 cmH2O all patients by us and we have measured cuff pressure in all patient different body positions. We found endotracheal cuff pressure is significant higher in trendelenburg position in two groups, body mass index and cuff pressure increase was correlated. The result of our study is we may measure endotracheal cuff pressure routinely in morbid obesity patients which operated in trendelenburg position.
