Abstract (EN)
Motivation is a fundamental issue for non-profit or profit organizations. This issue that enhances employees' performance and job satisfaction in business life plays a critical role on the success of businesses. The purpose of this research is to determine the internal and external factors which affect the motivation level of employees who work for waste water treatment facility, also to detect whether socio-demographic characteristics have an effect on these factors and to ctontribute to the existing management-organizations literature by using the findings of this study. Initially, within the scope of the research, the detailed literature review which includes analysis of motivation issue and the effecting factors has been made and also revealed analysis on theoretical information which is essential for comprehensibility of the study. Secondarily, by using quantitative research method, a questionnaire has been applied to 174 employees working for waste water treatment facility. The questionnaire comprise of questions about socio-demographic characteristics and also the statements about intrinsic and extrinsic motivation factors. SSPS software programme has been used for data analysis. The study has shown that gender of the employees has influence on the intrinsic motivation processes and also, it is determined that the women employees' intrinsic motivation is lesser than men's. Besides, employees' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation levels who work in admisitrative spaces are lower than the ones who work for province and sub province waste water treatment facility. The findings of this research indicates that marital status, age, education background, pay, career status, and term of employment has not an significant impact on the motivation level of employees. Moreover, within this framework, it has been detected that there is a significant correlation between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation levels of employees.
