The Investigation of attitudes of interns and assistants in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University toward COVID 19 vaccine and its related factors.

In scope of this study it is aimed at investigating attitudes of interns and assistants in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University toward COVID 19 vaccine and its related factors. This is an analytic and cross-sectional study. Its sample size is 261 and the availability rate is 81.6%. Participants are asked to fill a self-completion survey form. The independent variables of the study are the ones related to socioeconomic data and background of the participants, perception of COVID 19 (PC), perception of the causes of COVID 19 (PCC); and the dependent variable is the attitudes towards the COVID 19 vaccine (ATCV). The average age of the participants is 27.40±3.33, and 50.2% of them are male, 47.4% are people living alone and 64.3% are assistants. When overall points of the participants on surveys, it can be seen that PC is 3.96±0.52, PCC is 2.42±0.49, ATCV is 3.64±0.53. It is found out that 23.0% of the participants went through COVID 19 before, and 90.1% have had COVID 19 vaccine. It is also found out that people living alone compared to others, people whose PCR test results were not positive compared to the ones whose results were positive, people who have had COVID 19 vaccine compared to who have not, and people who cannot afford COVID 19 vaccine compared to the ones who have not wanted to be vaccinated have significantly higher positive attitudes. In addition, it is found out that people living alone at home compared to others, assistants compared to interns, people who have had COVID 19 vaccine compared to who have not, people who cannot afford COVID 19 vaccine compared to who have not wanted have significantly less negative attitudes towards vaccine. Consequently, it has been discovered that the attitudes of assistants and interns are related to whom they live with, their medical title, their status of having COVID 19 vaccine, and their reasons of not having COVID 19 vaccine; moreover, they have generally positive attitudes towards COVID 19 vaccine.
