The subject of this study has been determined as a Study on Conservatism and Consumption Culture (Example of Üsküdar). First of all, it is aimed to understand the subject comprehensively by focusing on conservatism and the change phases of conservatism. In addition, the historical background of conservatism has been discussed and the changes it has gone through have been tried to be examined. In this thesis, it has been tried to focus on the definition, the historical development of conservatism and the development of conservatism in Turkey. In addition to those, the consumption habits of conservative women have been emphasized and the changes in the consumption culture have been examined carefully. The subject is explained in detail by trying to understand the changes in the consumption culture under various headings from married and unmarried women to working or non-working women. Additionally, in-depth interview method was applied and sample data on conservative consumption culture were collected. In this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 women who defined themselves as conservative within 8 weeks. These data are very important for the efficiency of the study. All conducted research and in-depth interviews were evaluated and analysed in the last part of the study. As the result of in-depth interviews, with the liberal economy that is brought by conservatism in Turkey, the interviewers said their level of welfare had increased and there had been some changes in their consumption habits, and they had felt more comfortable when shopping.
