In this study, it was aimed to study the relationships among perfectionism, emotion regulation, and psychological symptoms. In the research, the relational screening model was used. The participants of the study consisted of a total of 494 people, 322 (65.2%) women and 172 (34.8%) men, determined by the convenient sampling method. Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, A Short Version of the Emotional Dysregulation, Brief Symptom Inventory, and Demographical Information Form were used as data collection tools in the study. For data analysis, SPSS.26 software was used. Findings were obtained using Independent Samples t-Test, One Way Anova, Pearson Correlation and Bootstrap based regression methods. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that emotional dysregulation has a partial mediating role in the relationship between perfectionism and psychological symptoms. In the perfectionism variable, a significant difference was identified in terms of marital status and age, but no significant difference could be seen in terms of gender and education level. In the emotion dysregulation variable, there was seen a significant difference among gender, age, and marital status, however no significant difference could be determined in terms of education level. In the psychological symptoms variable, a significant difference could be seen among gender, marital status, age, and education level. As far as mutual relationships between the variables, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between perfectionism and emotion dysregulation variables; between perfectionism and psychological symptoms variables; and between psychological symptoms and emotion dysregulation variables. The results were discussed under the light of the literature and recommendations for future studies were provided.
