Abstract (EN)

In this study, recovery tests were carried out with the purpose of investigating the effects of MGS, Knelson and Falcon multi gravity concentrators on the beneficiation of chromite using the sample taken from Sivişlitepe/Aladağ, Adana.Feed particle size has been kept constant; rotational speed, tilt angle, washwater and feed pulp density varied as different parameters during MGS Tests. In the establishment of experimental design, the central composite rotatable design method has been utilized.Preliminary tests have been performed by changing centrifugal power and washwater pressure using Knelson separator. Since only limited amount of concentration has been attained, concentrates were subjected to further concentration by using Falcon centrifugal separator. The Knelson concentrates were ground for increasing particle liberation before using in the Falcon tests. A series of tests have been conducted applying different rotational speed and water pressures to find out the effects of Falcon concentration on the chromite grade and recoveries.
