The investigation of relationship between aggression and anger and styles of anger expression in prisoners who had sentenced from homicide in Muş E type prison

In this study, it is aimed to investigate relationship between aggression and anger and styles of anger expression in prisoners who had sentenced from homicide in Muş E Type Prison and to describe guilty profiles of prisoners.A hundred male participants had chosen by random from prisoners in Muş E Type Prison, who had sentenced from homicide. Their age were between 18 and 68. In this study, the investigator had used Personal Knowledge Form to collect data from prisoners by interviewing face to face. The State Trait Anger Scale (STAS) and Aggression Questionnaire were carried out by participants. Pearson Correlation Coefficient (r) and T test (t) were used to analysing datas of the study.Significant differences were found between anger and anger subscale values of participants (p <.001). Verbal agression and anger subscale values and trait anger, anger-in, anger-out and controlled anger subscale values were significantly and positively related (p <.001).The relationship between hostility and indirect aggression subscales and trait anger, anger-in and anger-out subscale values were significantly and positively exist (p <.001).Keywords: Prisoner, homicide, anger, aggression.
