Özet (EN)

The subject of this study is the notion of the subject and its types within the sample of Muzaffer İzgü's short stories. The study consists of five sections: Introduction, Theoretical Explanations and Related Studies, Method, Findings, and Conclusion and Recommendations. In the Introduction section, explanations regarding the purpose, significance, limitations, and assumptions of the study are provided. The section titled Theoretical Explanations and Related Studies includes definitions of the concept of the subject, researchers' views on the subject, and discussions concerning the types of subjects. In light of these perspectives, the types of subjects in Muzaffer İzgü's short stories are examined under three headings: in terms of voice (syntactic relations), in terms of their relationship with case markers, and within the framework of semiotics. Both quantitative and qualitative research methods were employed in the study. In the Findings section, subject types were analyzed and exemplified based on three short story books by Muzaffer İzgü. The frequently used subject types in İzgü's stories were identified. In the Conclusion and Recommendations section, conclusions related to the analyzed findings and suggestions for further research on the subject are presented.
