Abstract (EN)

In this study, the literary elements in the piano piece Waldszcenen "Forest Stages", which consists of eight separate scenes, by Robert Schumann, who is seen as one of the most important composers contributing to the romantic period, were examined. The most important factors that enable the composer to leave a mark on the romantic period are seen as to imagery in his musical transmission, atmosphere, mystery, the characters he creates and the way he uses literature in his music. In the romantic period, when the concept of "I" came to the fore and free and fearless forms of expression and forms emerged,Schumann Romanticism and his interest in literature are intensely observed, especially in the different works of the composer in small forms such as fantasy, rhapsody, arabesque, intermezzo, impromptu and variation. In this study, on the subject regarding after the section where the introduction and method are transferred In the first chapter, the definition of romanticism, the concept of romanticism in music and Schumann's musical approach are explained. In the second part, the techniques and literary texts used in Waldszcenen "Forest Scenes" are analyzed and associated with the composer's musical approach. This miniature work, which is frequently included in the repertoire of pianists, is examined in terms of the characteristics of the period and the musical approach of the composer, and it is aimed to contribute to a better understanding and interpretation of the work.
