Abstract (EN)
In this research, it is aimed to test the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT-I) developed by Jack Naglieri for children aged 5-9 years and to determine the psychometric properties of this tool. The research was organized in the general screening model. Based on the socio-economic development ranking of the districts, 1 district from each socio-economic development region was selected by random assignment. The study was conducted with a total of 753 children from 4 different socio-economic development regions. In the collection of data; Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT-I), Test of Nonverbal Intelligent-3 (TONI-3), Color Progressive Matrices Test (CPM), and Denver II Developmental Screening Test were used. Cronbach's alpha reliability, test-retest reliability and parallel form reliability were calculated in NNAT-I reliability analyses. For validity analysis, correlation level between NNAT-I and TONI-3 and CPM tests was determined by Pearson Product-Moment formula. Whether there was a difference between NNAT-I and Denver II Developmental Screening Test was calculated with the anova test. NNAT-I was found to have high reliability with an average reliability coefficient of 0.88. A high correlation was found between form A and form B of NNAT-I (r=0.93) and test-retest analyzes (0.87, 0.88). While it was determined that there was a significant difference between NNAT-I scores, grade level and age group, no significant difference was found according to gender. A high, positive and significant relationship (r=0.84, p<0.01) between NNAT-I and RPM, and a moderate, positive and significant relationship between NNAT-I and TONI-3 (r=0.52, p<0.01) has been found. It was determined that approximately 13% of the variance observed in NNAT scores was correlated with developmental assessment results. The results show that NNAT-I is a valid and reliable intelligence test for psychometrically measuring general mental ability and evaluating reasoning skills. Keywords: NNAT-I, Norm, Standardization
