Story writing of Naim Tirali

This study, which is entitled ?Story Writing of Naim Tirali? was conducted to investigate the life story of the author, to reveal his perception of art, and to analyze his stories. In the first part, Story Writing in the Republic Period in Turkey is considered with a panoramic view, and it is attempted to establish a connection between this period and the story writing of Naim Tirali. In the second part, information about the life, his works and nature of the author is given. In the third part of the study, the views of the author related to art, literature, education and language are discussed in the lights of the interviews carried out with him, the answers he gave to the questions during the investigations, and his diary. The fourth part of the study entitled Naim Tirali as a Journalist deals with his writings as a journalist which encompasses a considerable part of his life as an artist. This part is based on the information elicited from various articles about him published in newspapers, his experiences during the time he spent in jail, interviews with him and his diary. In the fifth part, the stories of the author are analyzed and evaluated under six headings. These are: ?Plot?, ?Themes?, ?Characters of the Story?, ?Time?, ?Setting?, and ?The Point of View and The Narrator?. In the final part of the study, the findings obtained from the research are given. On the basis of those findings some discussions are made and some conclusions are reached.Key words: Naim Tirali, Naim H. Tirali, Literature, Story
