The adaptation of Nakkaşhanei hassa miniature style as a book illustration to the novel of "Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem – Araba Sevdası" with digital techniques

Miniatures are pictures that usually narrate and explain a text in manuscripts. In this respect, miniature art and today's book illustrations have similar purposes. This study touched upon the historical processes of both miniature art and illustration art; revealed the differences and similarities between the two; suggested that digital book illustrations can be made using the styles of miniatures, and referred to the techniques used in the making of these illustrations. In order to demonstrate the techniques, a book illustration has been applied to Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem's novel "Araba Sevdası" by using miniature styles.
