Zeyli Siyeri Veysi and Nabi by Nazmi-zade (Analysis and text)

The aim of the work is to evaluate the Nazmî-zâde Murtazâ's Zeyl-i Siyer-i Veysî and Nâbî work in a literary sense and create a comparative text of the work. According to the Turkish History of Literature, the first study of the Turks in the copyright area was carried out by Veysî in the 16th century. The works before Veysi were translations from Arabic and Farsi. Nâbî tried to complete the Dürretü't-Tâc fî-Sîreti that was left uncompleted after the death of Veysi with two postcripts, but he did not live long enough to finish the work. Nazmî-zâde Murtazâ succeeded to complete this work in 17th century and so that first Turkish copyright ouvre appeared. As Veysi and Nabi's works were popular and valued by public, Nevi-zade Atai, Tıfli Ahmed Çelebi, Koçhisari-zade Süleyman Talib, Bosnalı Adulkerim Sami Efendi and Koca Ragıp Pasha as well as Nazmizade Murtaza wrote postscripts for these works. As a result of catolog researches, 15 copies were reached, 13 in the country, 2 abroad and a copy stemmata was prepared according to these copies. Three copy groups were identified in the comparative study. The copy dates of the A, B and C copy groups were identified. The oldest dated copy of the each group were selected to represent the group. Among the N, K and NO copies, N was the main copy to create a text as it was the oldest, NO and K copies were the side transcripts. When more appropriate and accurate pharases in K and NO copies were determined, the phrases in these copies were included in the text and the N copy was placed in the footnotes. This study is important as it breaks a new ground in terms of Turkish literature and history. This work is not a translated work like the ones written before but it is a complementary and first example of "Copyright Turkish Prophetic Biography" with the works of Veysi and Nabi. With this work, the first Copyrighted Prophetic Biography will be completed as well as the scientific world for the History of İslam will have a credible work.
