Özet (EN)

Israel is a Pre-Asian country geographically located at the junction of Asia and Africa. It is a Jewish-Jewish state established in 1948 on palestinian territories under the mandate of The United Nations. The fact that Israel was established in the Muslim Palestinian Territories caused it to have problems with Arab countries and Muslim Turkey in the region. In particular, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has had a significant impact on shaping Turkey-Israel relations. For this reason, relations between the two countries have been bumpy according to the crises experienced. Necmettin Erbakan, whose social, political and economic views were shaped according to the "National View" (Millî Görüş) idea, established a government in Turkey in June 1996. "Ummism" is the basis of Erbakan's National View (Millî Görüş). Zionism, capitalism and under the various names of oppressed countries and nations to fight against the persecutors. Erbakan defines Israel as a Zionist country that persecutes and exploits countries with various means of economy. The main purpose of the study is to examine how Erbakan, who had negative views about Israel, entered into relations with Israel when he came to power and what the effects of these relations were on trade. In this study, literature scanning method was used. With this method, economic data of Turkey and Israel, Necmettin Erbakan and the sources analyzing the period were used. The study concluded that the relations with Israel did not have any effect on the economic relations during Erbakan period, on the contrary, new agreements and protocols were signed in the economic and military areas and trade relations continued to grow.
