Glossary of Nedim's Divan

"Glossary of Nedim's Divan" is a study in the form of a text dictionary based on the divan of Nedim, one of the 18th century poets. In the study, the words found in Nedim's Divan are arranged alphabetically as head of articles and intermediates based on the context of the text. The meaning values of the words that change according to each context are presented with the witnesses in Nedim's Divan. With this study, the different meanings of the words that make up Nedim's Divan, depending on the context, and Nedim's original uses have been determined, and as a result of these determinations, the vocabulary of Nedim's Divan has been tried to be revealed as a scientific data. It is thought that this study, in addition to being the main source of a study on Nedim's style, can also contribute to the stylistic studies of other Divan poets and can easily provide a comparative analysis of the styles and vocabulary of Divan poets.
