Abstract (EN)
The study includes NEET (not in education, employment, or training) groups that have the largest share in youth unemployment. The study conducted research on university undergraduates and their perception of unemployment, their expectations and the obstacles they are facing. Youth unemployment is a problem that affects the whole world. Although it is commonly seen in developing countries, it is also a case even in developed countries. While it seems like an individual problem, the majority of university graduates or people who are not in education, employment or vocational training pose a problem for Turkey. Economically, these people cannot make a living, the competencies and various skills they have gained due to higher education cannot be used. It is lost as human and social capital. Economically, it creates a cost. The inability of people to be included in the workforce causes social isolation. It affects people psychologically as well as economically. The research was written on the basis of people who graduated within the scope of Kastamonu University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Persons were reached using the snowball method. The interviews were conducted using a semi-structured interview form. Content analysis and frequency analysis were carried out using the MAXQDA package program, which is considered a qualitative analysis method. The data obtained were thematized according to the frequently used words and the discourses of the participants were added.
