Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out to determine the effects of different seed-treatments with zinc-containing plant activator on yield and yield components in chickpea. The study was conducted Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture trial areas in 2020. In the experiment, 2 chickpea cultivars and licensed preparation containing 2% zinc (Zn) were used. Seeds were treated with distilled water and 4 different doses of zinc (20, 40, 60 and 80 ppm). Field trials were set 3 replications according to the randomized complete block design. According to the results of variance analysis, the effects of cultivar and seedtreatments on first emergence and 50% emergence time, first flowering days, number of plant branches, plant height, first pod height, plant weight, 100 seed weight, pods per plant, grains per plant, plant yield, grain yield per unit area, biological yield, harvest index and protein ratio were found to be significant. According to varieties and applications, first emergence time 11-16.33 days, 50% emergence time 14.33-20 days, days to first flowering 48.33-51.33 days, plant height 38.8-46.77 cm, first pod height 21.63-23.83 cm, pods per plant 14.6- 22.87, seeds per plant 14.2-22.33, plant seed yield 4.58-7.84 g, number of branches 2.37-3.43, plant weight 14.37-18.6 g, seed yield 128.57-222.40 kg/da, biological yield 367.37-510.77 kg /da, 100 grain weight 30.23-37.65 g, harvest index 34.99-43.64% and protein ratio varied between 22.95-25.66%. Pre-sowing treatment with zinc, accelerated the emergence of chickpea cultivars and positively affected yield components. The highest results were obtained from seed-treatment with 40-60 ppm Zn.
