Investigation of the their situation of finding a place in the social studies programs of 1998, 2005, 2018 and 2024 of the people included in the Nutuk

Within the scope of this study, it was aimed to examine the status of the people featured in the Speech in finding a place in the social studies programs of 1998, 2005, 2018 and 2024. Within the scope of the study, information was given about social studies, the history of social studies, the development of social studies in Turkey, the definition, purpose and scope of social studies. In the study, perspectives used within the scope of social studies teaching were also mentioned, and information was given about the teaching programs used in 1998, 2005, 2018 and 2024 within the scope of social studies teaching. General information about the Nutuk was given and an evaluation of the use of the Nutuk in the courses was presented to the reader. Within the scope of the study, document analysis technique was used. It has been observed that the Speech written by Atatürk cannot be the main source in courses covering history and revolutions, but its use as an auxiliary source will support the teaching of the course and the ability to make evaluations in different contexts. It has been seen that the Speech will shed light on its period because it is written in a rational way, away from the use of figures of speech, and it has been concluded that it will be beneficial to use it as an auxiliary resource in lessons in this regard.
