Öğrencilerin dijital teknolojiye yönelik tutumlarının mobil cihazlar aracılığıyla İngilizce kelime öğrenimine etkileri

The developing technologies have been increasingly surrounding every aspect of our lives. Education is one of the most affected areas from these developments. Educators from different disciplines use various types digital technologies in learning environments. Mobile learning is one of the developments occurred as a result technological developments in education. A number of studies show that mobile learning is beneficial for language learning and vocabulary learning in particular. There is an expanding tendency to use mobile learning devices in education; however, the question if it is appropriate to use the mobile learning technologies in every learner group is still not answered. There can be a number of factors that affect the benefits of mobile learning technologies. This study was done on high school students to find out if the students' attitudes towards digital technology is an influential factor on the effectiveness of vocabulary learning via mobile devices. The results of the study indicated that using mobile devices has an obvious positive effect in vocabulary learning. Furthermore, the results showed that there is a positive correlation between students' attitudes towards digital technology and the vocabulary learning process; however, not every sub factor has a remarkable effect on the learning process. As the learning technologies develop day by day, there are still several factors to be examined. Consequently, the study will be helpful for new studies to find out the influencer factors of English vocabulary education via mobile devices.
