Professional interests of students and effect of the family on professional choice

The purpose of this study is to examine the fields of interest of the students who are in the preparation course fort he university in Bolu?s private courses. The analysis of the study is composed of 100 girls, 42 boys , 142 students in total. The examination come s true in two private courses. The questions about family and job in the questionnaire of Musa Sahin are also used for collecting data. In the analysis data frequency and calculation of percentage are used. We have these results: 1. When we examine the fields of interest of the students who are in the preparation courses for the university in Bolu, a relation between types of school and the fields of interest is seen. When we consider their position in working their own fields, they believe in doing their job in coming years.In terms of the opportunities of their job, students think that they can easily find the opportunity both in private and public sector. As fort he application of jobs they chose, ıt is seen that students should enter the university which is relevant to the job they chose. When the students decide 2 if their job suits them, it is important to consider their personalities, abilities, and teir successes. 2. It is seen that ability test is applied in school and private course for determining their abilities and interest. % 53,3 of the students have a little knowledge, % 38,7have enough knowledge about the jobs they chose. It is also seen that they filled the questionnaire about selecting a job and they joined the conference in teir school. The term in which they determine their job is 1st, 2nd, 3rd classes in high school. 3. The of view of the families in selecting a job is to examine and research about their job and decide together about job. The idea of the families is composed of the need of entering a university because of it?s providing economical comfort. The criterions of the families are to select a job by giving primary importance to the economical opportunities which their job support, also interestand abilities. The opportunities of the families are; they let the students go private courses for university, they enable them to have private lesson, their trust in them, and their help in the selection.
