Abstract (EN)

It is important how to the research assistant staff which form the future teaching staff candi date and the first step off academik career is seen by the teaching staff. This study aims to search the positive and negative sides of the searching staff in Turkey in the light of the ideas of teaching staff in the universities. In this study, phenomenological pattern being one of the qualitivite research pattern was used. Study was carried out with 45 volunteer teaching staff who are working in Fırat University and with the data gathered from to teaching staff through focus group interview. Gathered data were subjected to content analysis and tried to be explained through categories and themes. In order to converse the data into schema Nviwo 12 qualitative data analysis was used. According to the study research there is no direct eguivalent of the research assistant staff abroad. The description 33/a type of staff is insufficient and uncertain . It was found that 50/d typeof staff was temporary. Particıponts think that assistant staff is the first and important step in the procoss of academic career. It is understood that priocduty of assotant staff is academic development and working conditions change from one university to the other unversities. The most important problem that the assistant staff experience is that the in sufficient description of their duty and the temporary staff.
