Abstract (EN)
Burnout is a common case in the sectors which require team work and getting into communication with people. However, it can also be observed in other social groups. Although the relevant literature mainly studies the burnout caused by teaching, nursing and being a policeman and the other professions from which the society has high expectations, students also deserve to be analyzed regarding their burnout levels since they form a great part of the society, and live and study under hard conditions. Behavioral changes including alienation from work, diverging from the society, unwillingness, anger, anxiety or desensitization, which are usually observed in professional workers, can also be seen in students. Pre-service teachers not only deal with the anxiety of completing their undergraduate education, but they should also handle the stress of passing the Public Personnel Selection Examination (PPSE) which is compulsory to gain the right of professional practice after graduation, the anxiety of unemployment and other personal problems. The aim of this study is to investigate whether or not pre-service teachers have burnout and PPSE has any influence on those who do. The research question is: "Does the Public Personnel Selection Examination have an effect on burnout feelings?" The study was conducted with 741 pre-service teachers who were studying in Science Teaching, Social Studies Teaching, Preschool Teaching and Classroom Teaching Departments. The study data were collected using Maslach Burnout Inventory Student Survey (MBI-SS) and a personal information form created by the researchers. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t test and one-way ANOVA. According to research results in the sub-dimension onf depersonalization on the exhaustion for the departments of education it has seen meaningfully statistical of feeling thif defference from 1 to 3 and 1 to 4th class is more exhausted than other departments in applicants of social studies teaching as for science studies teaching applicant.
