Abstract (EN)
The main objective of this study is to determine the sensitivity levels of senior students for Turkish in the faculties of education.The study is a descriptive research conducted by using the scanning model. The research data was obtained from 452 candidate teachers studying at senior level in the Faculty of Education of Ahi Evran University. Personal information form, sensitivity scale for using Turkish, and composition form were used as means of data collection. Of all the descriptive statistical values provided by the data obtained from the candidate teachers, the number of participants (N), the percentage (%), the average ( ? ) and the standard deviation (Sd) were used; independent samples t test as well as one-way variance analysis (Anova) were carried out to determine whether a differentiation according to the variables exists; Tukey Test (p, Post hoc test) was utilized to specify the source of the differentiation; Pearson Correlation Test was used for correlation analysis. p<0,05 was considered to be sufficient for significance.In the wake of the research, it has been concluded that the sensitivity levels of the candidate teachers for using Turkish;1.As a result, prospective teachers are sensitive to the use of Turkish2.Does not differentiate under ?Verbal and Written Expression? sub-topic depending on gender variable; however, it exhibits significant variance under other sub-topics.3.Does not differentiate significantly depending on the high school from which the candidate teachers have graduated.4.Differentiates significantly according to branch variable.5.Does not differentiate significantly depending on the educational level of the candidate teacher?s father.6.Does not differentiate significantly depending on the educational level of the candidate teacher?s mother.7.Differentiates significantly under ?Turkish against alienation in mother tongue? sub-topic according to the region where each candidate teacher has spent most of his/her life.8.does not correlated significantly between college entrance score and using Turkish language sensitivity level.9.It has also been specified that the candidate teachers make a limited number of mistakes while using Turkish for written expression.10.Using Turkish language for written expression differentiates significantly according to branch variable.With reference to the result of the research, it can said that beginning from primary education, talking platforms should be prepared for the students to improve their verbal expression talent. In addition, it can be advised that writing exercises can be done to develop usage of Turkish and that the sensibility and talents of using Turkish well can be used as a criterion at the assessment and evaluation practices.
