Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine work ethics attitudes and behaviour perception to teachers working in Turkey and Austria within Ministry of National Education schools of primary class and subject teachers. Accordingly, teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions were identified and whether teachers' personal traits have an effect on their perceptions or not was investigated. The study group of the research consist of 200 primary class and subject teachers working in central districs of Bolu in Turkey and 57 primary class and subject teachers working in central districs of Vienna in Austria in 2016-2017 edecational year. Personal information form and Workers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions scala were used to collect data. The scala developed by Recep YÜCEL and Gamze Ebru ÇİFTÇİ and then confirmatory factor analysis was made again by the researcher. The data was analyzed with percentage, frequency, mean, standart deviation, Mann Whitney-U and Kruksal Wallis H tests. The following results were obtained from the study; According to the results of the research, both Turk and Austrian teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions are at high level. According to the countries (Turkey and Austria), there is no significiant difference in individual sub-dimension of teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions but there is a significiant difference in organisational sub-dimension. Turk teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions in organisational sub-dimension are higher than the Austrian teachers'. According to the sex, there is no significiant difference of Turk teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions. In Austria, there is no significiant difference in individual sub-dimension but there is a significiant difference in total scala score and in organisational sub-dimension. In this regard, it was found that women teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions are higher than the man teachers'. According to the subject matter, there is no significiant difference of Turk teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions in organisational sub-dimension and also no difference in organisational and individual sub-dimensions in Austria. But there is a significiant difference in individual sub-dimension and total scala score in Turkey and total scala score in Austria. In this regard, it was found that class teachers' work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions are higher than the subject matter teachers'. According to the working year, there is a significiant difference in individual sub-dimension in Turkey and organisational sub-dimension in Austria. Teachers, working between 0-5 years have the higher work ethics attitudes and behaviour perceptions than the teachers' working between 6-10, 11-15 and 16 and more years.
