Abstract (EN)
In this research, the teachers' attitudes towards social club?s studies and their problems encountered in these studies was aimed to be investigated. This research consisted of introduction, literatures, methods, data and comments, results, discussion and recommendations.Of the study, a total of 360 teachers serving in state and private schools under the Ministry of National Education Ministry in the Gediz was attended. The samples of research consisted of 250 teachers randomly selected by cluster and disproportionate sampling method in the town of Gediz in public and private schools under the in 17 schools.Because the teachers' attitudes towards social club?s studies and their problems encountered in these studies was aimed to be investigated and to found of solution way, research was arranged in accordance with the screening model. The questionnaire used to collect demographic variables were developed by the researcher. In the research, survey research and Teachers' Attitudes Scale related to educational club studies were applied.The data obtained from the answers given to survey research was analysed using the SPSS version 15.0 program at level of p<,05. For the purposes of the research, findings were analyzed and interpreted in the tables by using suitable statistical techniques. In analysis of findings, frequency and percentage distributions defining the demographic characteristics of teachers were performed, and arithmetic mean, standard deviation/error belonging to sub-groups of the scale size were measured. For groups showing and not showing characteristics of a normal distribution, parametric analysis techniques (one way variance analysis, independent group t test) and non-parametric techniques were used (Mann Whitney-U test, Kruskal Wallis-H test) were used, respectively. The degree of difference for significant differences was determined using Scheffe test.To results of research, The scale of educational attitudes of teachers and teacher willingness subscale scores, related to educational works of the club, was in favor of women according to sex variation. Even, female teachers for club works seemed more enthusiasm than male teachers. Difference in subscale scores of student participation according to gender variable was in favor of women. Related differences of subscale scores of the social contribution according to age variation was in favor of age groups of 25 and 6. Related differences of subscale scores of functioning loss according to age variation was in favor of age groups of 26-30 and 41-45. Related differences of subscale scores of functioning loss according to seniority variation was in favor of those with seniority of 16-20 years and seniority of 21 years and above. Here it seemed that less experienced teachers were more successful in social clubs of school. Related differences of subscale scores of the social contribution according to variation of school kind was in favor of private school teacher. Related differences of subscale scores of functioning loss according to variation of school kind was in favor of state school teacher. Related differences of subscale scores of teachers' willingness according to variation of school kind was in favor of private school teacher. Related differences of subscale scores of student attending according to variation of school kind was in favor of state school teacher. Related differences of subscale scores of functioning loss according to regular meeting variation was in favor of those who do not regularly meeting. Differences among the arithmetic mean of the other analyzes in groups were not statistically significant.Key Words: Social Club, Educational Branch, Guidance Teacher, Extracurricular Activity, Recreation
