Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to investigate the durability and mechanical performance of self-compacting mortars (KYH) produced with basalt powder and silica fume. Accordingly, binary mixtures containing 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% and 40% basalt powder substitute together with the control mixture, 10% silica fume and 5%, 10%, 15%, 5 series of mortar samples were produced from 13 different mixtures in total, including triple mixtures containing 20% basalt powder substitution. Workability and strength tests were carried out on the fresh and hardened mortars produced. At the end of the 180-day curing period, the strength values of the samples kept in sulfate solution were compared with those kept in water. Experiments were carried out to determine the mechanical properties, capillary water absorption rates, total water absorption, porosity and sulfate resistance of the mortar samples of basalt powder and silica fume substitution. As a result of the study, it was seen that the use of basalt powder and silica fume together contributed to the strength. It has been determined that the use of basalt powder up to 10% increases the mechanical properties of KYH. It has been observed that the use of basalt powder has a positive effect against sulfate attack.
