Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to examine teachers' views on school-family collaboration. Designed with a case study from qualitative research models, the study group of this study consists of 10 teachers working in official primary and secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the central districts of Antalya province in the 2024-2025 academic year. The data obtained from the study were obtained using a semi-structured interview form titled "Teachers' views on school-family collaboration". In the study, purposeful sampling method and maximum diversity sampling methods were used to determine the study group. The data obtained with the semi-structured interview form were analyzed with the descriptive analysis method. According to the opinions received from the participants, teachers think that school-family collaboration benefits students in terms of self-confidence, motivation, and awareness, strengthens communication between families and schools, provides social interaction, and facilitates teachers' classroom order and planned actions. In addition, teachers stated that meeting families face to face, organizing activities at school, making home visits, sending messages, calling, and communicating on social media are effective in increasing school-family collaboration. While teachers find home visits to be made within the scope of school-family collaboration useful, they stated that this process requires preparation, communication, planning, and they experience anxiety due to security issues. Teachers think that families should not be prejudiced and should not be insensitive to the school and students in order for school-family collaboration to occur and continue. As a result, school-family cooperation provides positive change in students' social, psychological and academic terms, positively affects teacher success, strengthens the relationship between school and family, and contributes to understanding the expectations of teachers and families from each other. It has been concluded that school-family cooperation is important in terms of increasing the quality of education and realizing an efficient education process.
