Özet (EN)
The aim of the study is to determine whether shared leadership has an intermediary role in the effect of school effectiveness on the intention to quit, by revealing meaningful relationships between school effectiveness, shared leadership and intention to quit. The research was carried out in the relational screening model. The universe of the research consists of 8,662 teachers in 386 secondary schools working in Gaziantep in 2018-2019 academic year, and the sample of the research is 648 teachers. In the research, Personal Information Form, School Effectiveness Scale, Shared Leadership Scale and Dismissal Tendency Scale were used. The frequency and percentage distributions of the demographic characteristics of the teachers in the study group were calculated. The reliability of the scales was calculated with Cronbach alpha reliability values. Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test was performed by calculating central tendency measures and skewness and kurtosis values to check whether the scales and predicted variables show normal distribution. Independent sample t-test was used in the analysis according to the gender variable, and one-way analysis of variance was used in the analysis according to the variables of professional seniority and education region. Scheffe test was used to determine which groups differ significantly. Correlation analysis was carried out to determine the relationship between the variables. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the mediating role of shared leadership. As a result of the research, it was determined that there is a positive, high level and significant relationship between teachers' school effectiveness and shared leadership perceptions. It was concluded that there is a negative, moderate and significant relationship between teachers' school effectiveness and shared leadership perceptions and their intention to quit. Shared leadership has a partial mediating role in the impact of school effectiveness on the intention to quit. Based on the findings and comments, suggestions were made for researchers and practitioners working in the field of educational management.
