Abstract (EN)

A relational research method was used to determine the relationships between school principals' self-leadership, self-efficacy, general well-being and job satisfaction. The population of the research is 305 school principals working in educational institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Yeşilyurt and Battalgazi districts of Malatya province in the 2023-2024 academic year. The sample of the research is 226 school principals who were selected by convenience sampling method. In the questionaries of the research; 'Job Satisfaction Scale', 'Self-Leadership Scale Short Version', 'General Well-Being Scale' and 'School Principal Self-Efficacy Perception Scale Short Form' were used, and 6 questions (Gender, educational status, seniority in the profession, length of time as a principal, length of time working at the current institution, number of students at school) were asked. The research data were analysed by structural equation modelling. There was a moderately significant positive relationship between self-leadership and self-efficacy and general well-being, and a low significant positive relationship between self-leadership and job satisfaction. There was a low significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction. There was a low significant positive relationship between general well-being and job satisfaction. It was also found that self-leadership predicted job satisfaction indirectly through self-efficacy and general well-being. As a result of the analysis of the model created by this research using structural equation modelling, it was concluded that self-leadership, self-efficacy, general well-being and job satisfaction variables directly or indirectly affect each other. It was concluded that self-leadership, general well-being and self-efficacy variables together explain approximately 25% of the variance in job satisfaction of school principals.
